Yoga classes offered at the Alaska Rock Gym are varied over a range of styles and intensities; from Evolv-style taught by Kim Greeff, to Iyengar influenced, to gentle Vinyasa flows for beginners. Click on the schedule tab to see the types of classes and when they are offered. Classes are limited to 22 participants, pre-registration is encouraged and payment for classes may be made on-line. Mats, belts, blocks and other props are provided.

Evolve Yoga with Melissa Monday - 9:00 to 10:00am
Gain strength, flexibility and energy with an integrated approach that develops physical, mental and emotional awareness through poses and specific breathing practices. All levels welcome.
Align & Refine with Kim Wed/Fri - 9:00 to 10:00am
Designed for folks from all walks of life who are curious about living more comfortably in their bodies, and interested in healing dysfunctional patterns of movement. This class works on restoring natural strength and flexibility and is suitable for all levels.
Yoga Tune Up with Melissa Tues/Thurs - 9:00 to 10:30am
This class combines elements of yoga, conscious corrective exercise and self-massage to tap into the body's own intelligence. YTU helps to balance those body areas that are over-used, under-used, mis-used or abused! All levels welcome.
Weekend Warrior Yoga with Melissa Saturday - 10:30am to noon
A 90-minute class combining Yoga Tune Up principles with the dynamics of Vinyasa yoga. Explore the link between breath and functional flow while improving joint mobility, core strength and body awareness. This practice builds strength, agility and grace. All levels welcome.
Foundation Yoga with Margo Monday - 4:30 to 5:30pm
Strengthen your posterior chain of muscles and learn corrective techniques for protecting your body while doing those activities that carry you through the day. All levels, mid-intensity.
Evolve Yoga with Kim Tues/Thurs – 4:30 to 5:30pm
An integrated approach that develops physical, mental and emotional awareness through poses and specific breathing practices. Students gain strength, flexibility and energy. The progression of each class is based on the abilities of students present. All levels welcome.
Rise & Recover with Natalie Wed/Fri - 4:30 to 5:30pm
This class is designed to help frustrated bodies recover and return to the activities they love to pursue. Drawing on traditional and unconventional asanas, functional and transferable movement patterns are explored to gain mobility, motor control, and strength.
Cool Flow on Monday & Strength Flow on Wednesday with Tara 6:00 to 7:00pm
Cool Flow Monday has an emphasis on mobility built into moving meditation; great for beginners! On Wednesdays, Tara turns it up with a Strength Flow. Breathe, sweat & dance through this vinyasa/ashtanga based class with an emphasis on flexibility & strength. Some yoga experience is helpful for this class, but not required.
Slow Flow with Nikki Tuesday - 6:00 to 7:00pm
This dialed down class is great for releasing stress and increasing mindfulness and connection. Modifications are provided and props utilized, making this class great for beginners and seasoned yogis alike.
Functional Mobility with Erin Thursday - 6:00 to 7:00pm
A functional fitness-based yoga class that emphasizes building strength and new mobility. Designed for athletes of all levels who are looking for faster recovery, increased performance and range of motion.
Rest & Restore Yoga with Becky Wednesday - 7:30 to 8:30pm
Start with gentle, rhythmic movement designed to unwind the mind and body, and finish with quiet, supported postures on bolsters and blankets. This class is designed for deep relaxation, stress relief, and quiet reflection. Suitable for all levels.
$10 per class, 60 or 90 minutes, for monthly/yearly pass holders.
$15 per class, 60 or 90 minutes, for walk-ins or day pass holders.
