Summary 

The Head coach of Elementary School Age Programs will be responsible for overseeing Foundations, Rec Team and Training Team for grades K-5. Being involved in all three levels of our programs will give the Head Coach the perspective to be able to move students from one program to the next while creating lesson plans that ensure students progress is being made based on their goals. This position will be responsible for curriculum development for each of their programs. The Head Coach will also be coaching hands on for every practice and class. In order to make students’ transitions from one team to the next, the Assistant Director and Director of Youth Programs will handle all admin work related to rosters, payments and sending registration links to parents. 

Essential Duties 

– Prepare lesson plans for each program in advance and brief coaches on what they will be doing 

– Identify students that should move from one program to another and facilitate that transition with the ADYP and DYP. ADYP or DYP will handle communication with the parents and moving the student from one roster to another 

– Manage coaches you are working with as you will be their direct supervisor for the time you work with them. Deal with initial warnings of any disciplinary issues that come up and pass along repeat issues to the ADYP and DYP to deal with 

– Inform scheduler of changing needs when moving students from one program to another 

– Help identify and run trainings that will improve the coaching staffs skill set 

– Act as the floating coach for your age group during Foundations (Scouts and Rangers) 

– Double check rosters, keep attendance and report any issues to the ADYP and DYP 

– Communicating with parents before and after practice as well as on Remind 

– Assist with coach reviews 

Pay Rate & Benefits

Payrate: $22 – $24/hour depending on experience
