Regan has been climbing since the fall of 2014. His passion for climbing grew out of long weekend climbing trips around the states of Washington and Oregon, finding a particular connection with the blank and sometimes nerve-racking walls of Smith Rock.
He shares his love for the sport with all levels of climbers, working as a youth programs lead for the jr. recreational climbing team, the senior lead belay instructor, and a private climbing instructor / trainer. Additionally, In the winter of 2017 he began working with the University of Alaska teaching rock and Ice climbing courses. He is still there today. He continues to pursue a professional life of climbing by becoming certified as a IRATA level 1 rope access technician.
As a climber and trainer Regan’s main passion is roped climbing. He enjoys the personal development that can be found in climbing as well as the hard work that it takes to improve. His focus is on developing technique ( both climbing and belaying) and improving weaknesses, as well as, improving physical and mental abilities on the sharp end.
