Job Description:
The Head Coach of Middle School Training Teams will lead and develop youth climbing programs, focusing on creating comprehensive training curriculums, preparing athletes for local competitions, and fostering teamwork and resilience. The head coach is responsible for training and mentoring youth climbers, managing team rosters, and ensuring payments are properly processed. In addition to the role of Head Coach, this position will also serve as a consistent coach for the Competition Team.
Job Responsibilities:
Middle School Training Team
– Be present as the head coach for both afterschool and homeschool offerings for the Middle School Training Team
– Develop curriculum and daily practices to teach skills necessary to train hard for climbing and in the weight room
– Prepare team members for local competitions
– For those who express interest in joining Comp Team, prepare them for the assessment and to have all the skills necessary to do those practices
– Teach mental tactics in dealing with hard training
– Manage the roster and registration. Ensure payment is properly set up and done on time
– Do assessments on Rec Team climbers who express interest in joining the training team
– Attend Head Coaches meeting and help plan out space usage and assist in other Youth Program puzzles
– Keep attendance check-ins up to date in Rock Gym Pro, and provide contextual assistance to the accounting department when invoicing program fees
– Communicate with Parents via Remind about upcoming events and changes to the schedule
– Respond to parent inquiries concerning registration, payments, attendance, and any other issues that arise
– Assist in biannual employee reviews
Pay and Benefits:
Full time, hourly specialty employee
Hourly wage: $22-25
