Boulder Selection Event Schedule
7am – Doors Open
7:20am – Volunteers check in
7:30am – Warm Up Area Closes. All climbers must check in by 7:30am
7:30am – Judges Meeting
7:40am – Technical Meeting for climbers in warm up
8:00am – Climbing begins
*All competitors must have a valid USA Climbing membership at the time of competition. If an athlete qualifies for USAC Regionals through this event, they are expected to attend.
Join us for this year’s Top Rope and Lead Alaskan Regionals Selection Event (AKSE) on Friday, September 18th.
All climbers must be registered by Friday, September 4th at 4 PM. The running order will be published by Tuesday, September 8th. Route videos will be made public by 10 PM on Thursday, September 17th.
Check in opens at 3 PM and climbing will begin at 4 PM. If an athlete will have difficulty making it here after school, please reach out to pam@alaskarockgym.com to be placed later in the running order.
Alaskan USA climbing competitors can qualify to the Regionals Championships events through the Alaskan Regionals Selection Events or through attending Qualification Events in Regions 11 and 12 (Oregon and Washington). The ropes event will be a Flash Format, detailed in the USA Climbing Rulebook and in our Rules tab in the event details.
The Alaska Rock Gym is dedicated to providing a healthy and accessible facility that encourages year-round fitness, wellness and community, centered around the challenges of climbing and climbing related activities.
Alaska Rock Gym is a firearm-free facility. Open carry is not permitted.
